This holiday season is unlike any other, to cap off a year unlike any other. Throughout this season, and as we move into a new (and hopefully better) year, we wish you moments of peace amid the difficulties, connections with family and friends even if they can’t be in person, the warmth of memories from holidays past, and wonderful glimpses of the joy that still lives under the surface. We wish you endurance, strength, health, and as much happiness as these times can allow!

Diamond Care Homes.

We would like to welcome to the group The Oaks Care Home, based in Hindley green, Wigan

This is the 7th care home within the group. It is a 28 bed registered care home for elderly residentail care.

Well as you all well know, that the festive season is upon us now and the residents are all looking forward to the festivities( I like this time of the year all the residents singing and dancing) there are Christmas parties, presents and carol singing all the decorations ...mmmmm....its just amazing!!

The rear courtyard at Clough House needed some dire attention, after years of non use the courtyard had become tired and the floor was uneven.  We had a local tradesman pop in to see us and suggested that we have the whole rear courtyard floor removed and levelled out and replaced with Tarmac, this is safe in winter as it is in summer.  So this project was given the go-ahead and finished in late September, all be it that the summer was over ( what little summer we had mind you ) however the residents of the home are really looking forward to the summer 2013 so that they can start growing flowers as a few of the residents are quite keen gardeners not to mention the amount of BBQs that are being proposed !!

The residents of the home wanted to have more external seating areas to soak uo the British summer!......so we had our maintenance person develop some unused land to the side of the home and had this converted into a patio area for the residents. We have had a terrific response all the residents were very happy that they could now sit outside and have their tea and biscuits.
